Ahoi friends of the summer festivals. Some days ago I got the final design of the “In Vervoering Festival” I made some illustrations for. The design is made by Roquefort a lovely design agency from Utrecht. Check out their work!
I really recommend to go there, the festival itself is placed around the big park in Utrecht and all the bands (Audiotransparent, Kim Janssen, Blazing Column of fire, Papertiger…) are playing in boats, cabins or a bus. AND IT’S FREE!

The air is hot and the people wear less cloth, a good way to show some skin and especially what you’ve on it. So here is a damn pretty picture of one of my artworks appearing on an upper arm. And not to forget the picture of the little gang emerge on soft skin.

Oh boy the first wave of heat hit europe and every metre on my bike is hard to earn. But this didn’t stop a very nice cooperation between Schindelhauer Bikes and Zum Heimathafen. This cooperation is some kind of a starting point for these guys to spread the some wonderful designs on soft jersey cotton. So if you are lucky and have one of their bikes, you can even look cooler with this new tops(:

I’m back from my north america trip and while I was away. Some new shirts where released to the public. The sweet people at Flight13 got a bunch of exclusive designs and colors. Get them while there’re fresh and hot!

Today I’ll present you the birth announcement card for my dear friends Megan & Geert. On the 10th of february their sweet daughter Louise Elizabeth was born, so they asked me for a unique card to deliver this wonderful news. After meeting her, this card was somehow a good omen for this peaceful and quite baby (:

I thought it might be a good move to spread some design before I’ll take some time of the virtual world. So you keep this little design factory in mind. This time we have the new EP by “the blazing column of fire who says we will not be halted” to offer. It’s called “Bats and the growing tree” and comes with seven wonderful tracks. It’s perfect for the spring, a lazy sunday afternoon or a fishing trip on lake Tahoe.

If you’re around the town Genthin there will be a record release party on the 15th @ Würfel.

How To Make Bad Things Disappear

to keep you updated with the work here at smartdesignz I’ll show you some new work which is in the development at the moment. Today I’ll post the artwork for the “In Vervoering” Festival in Utrecht. At the time I’m working on the poster and flyer design for this lovely festival in and around the park Lepelenburg. Whoohoo the new ToDo notepad arrived this morning. So if you like the analog stuff to write down “not-to-miss” things – here we have a lovely partner.
And all the best the pad is printed on FSC paper with eco colours on plantoil base. The printer teamed up with “Climate Partner” to provide a climate neutral production. Love the green!

As it was written here, there’re some new shirts come racing along. A few days ago we printed them and today we have the first pictures. Unfortunately it was a grey and rubbish suday, so we have to make some new once. And as you will see we like product placements.
